Sheridan barrel racing trees were designed from the ground up to fit the barrel racer and the string of prospects to get the win. From the ground up we designed our trees to resemble the BUSTER WELCH front end like a cutting tree for horses that drop down to turn the barrel while having the deep seat you need to hold you in while turning the barrels no matter the push style or pull style horse. The BUSTER WELCH is a good front end for barrel racing saddles because of its tall front to set your hands and turn the barrels with no worries. We try to make the most lightweight tree we can while also considering the longevity of the the saddle and security the rider feels while riding. Sheridan trees are manufactured with wood and covered with rawhide to secure fit for the rider and make the trees strong for years.
Sheridan barrel racing trees start on with a 7 inch gullet, and quarter horse bars as this is a really good fit on horses of all ages and goals. Our barrel saddle tree bars follow the line of the horses back to ensure a great fit from front to back. From the string of prospects, to the 1D winner and many in-between, Sheridan barrel racing trees fit horses of all shapes and sizes.
